The Walk Series | Part Four: Give
March 22, 2020
Matthew 6:19-21 (CEB) 19“Stop collecting treasures for your own benefit on earth, where moth and rust eat them and where thieves break in and steal them. 20Instead, collect treasures for yourselves in heaven, where moth and rust don’t eat them and where thieves don’t break in and steal them. 21Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Luke 6:38 (NRSV) give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.”
Acts 20:32-35 (CEB) 32Now I entrust you to God and the message of his grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all whom God has made holy. 33I haven’t craved anyone’s silver, gold, or clothing. 34You yourselves know that I have provided for my own needs and for those of my companions with my own hands. 35In everything I have shown you that, by working hard, we must help the weak. In this way we remember the Lord Jesus’ words: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
