Series: Twists & Turns
August 16, 2026 | Rev. Nicole Caldwell-Gross
Because “I’m sorry” may be two of the shortest words in the English language, but they can also be two of the hardest to say. Saying sorry requires us to admit that we didn’t get it right. That our words landed harder than we intended. That our actions affected somebody besides ourselves. And sometimes we would much rather explain, defend, justify—or point out what they did first! But as followers of Jesus, we are called to take seriously the ways we live, love, forgive, and seek reconciliation with one another. And that means sometimes learning how to say—and mean—“I’m sorry.”
Series Information

Each new life stage is really an invitation to begin a new journey. It's a chance to learn new things, embrace new routines, meet new people, and trust God with the unknown. Of course, any parent, grandparent, teacher, or school employee can tell you that this journey is rarely a straight path. There are unexpected detours, difficult assignments, changing friendships, moments of triumph, and moments when we wonder if we'll ever find our footing again. That's exactly what inspired our new worship series, Twists and Turns: What Board Games Teach Us About Faith. Over the next four weeks, we'll discover what some of our favorite games can teach us about following God through the unexpected paths of life.
