Dear Noblesville First Family,
This morning I looked out at the pond behind my house and noticed that some neighbors have returned: the ducks. Despite my dog’s barking protest, a male and female duck are back, and I’m certain that in a few weeks, baby ducks will be here too.
As I watched them glide across the surface, I reflected in awe at their innate ability to find their way home. Despite the vastness of the world, amidst changing seasons and unfamiliar landscapes, somehow a duck’s instinct guides it back to this pond every year.
Similarly, in our journey of faith, we may find ourselves wandering, facing uncertainty, and encountering unfamiliar territory. Yet, like our feathered friends, we too have an innate instinct---the holy spirit, always leading us back to the spiritual home we find in God and in the church.
As we set out on this weekend, it is my prayer that wherever your journey may take you, you find your way home. You allow the gentle tug of the Holy Spirit to bring you back home to prayer, to worship and to the peace that comes from knowing you are right where you belong.
This Sunday, we close out our "Googling God" worship series with the question: Why do bad things happen? I know there is a word of comfort and peace that God has prepared for us, right here at home. I’ll see you Sunday.
Keep the Faith@First,
Pastor Nicole
