On Saturday, March 2, Noblesville First's Social Justice and Advocacy Team will host a three-hour Bridges Out of Poverty workshop from 9am to Noon. The workshop is based on Dr. Ruby Payne’s research and work in the field of poverty. The instructor for the day is Dave Sever, Ph.D., from the Bridges Alliance of Johnson County. The workshop will cover topics including situational vs. generational poverty, the language of poverty, different outlooks concerning money and spending, and the hidden rules in our society based on class.
A number of people from our congregation have taken this workshop elsewhere and speak of the powerful message and impact it had on them.
The cost of the workshop is $15 to cover the cost of the workbook and morning coffee and snacks. Click here to sign up and pay online or stop by the church office at 2051 Monument St, Noblesville.
