On Sunday, February 10 at 2pm in the Parlor (Door #1), we will host a free presentation by Brian Pyne, Senior Financial Planner with Goelzer Investment Management. Goelzer has managed Noblesville First United Methodist Church Foundation’s assets for 14 years.
Brian is the expert we rely on to invest and protect funds entrusted the church’s foundation. A great deal has changed in recent years in terms of federal and state tax legislation, as well as charitable giving regulations, donor giving patterns and donor expectations. The doubling of the federal standard deduction from $12,000 to $24,000 is one recent example. The subsequent drop in the number of households itemizing is dramatic, negatively impacting charities in 2018. The accelerating pace at which families establish donor advised funds is another example. The elimination of the estate tax in Indiana is a third.
Join us for Brian’s remarks on these and other topics. Bring your questions and make sure you take advantage of all tax planning and charitable donation options available to you.
