Meet the Circles
The following Circles meet for study, prayer, fellowship, projects and fun. New members of all ages are always welcome!
Grace Circle
This circle meets the second Tuesday of the month (August-May) at 11am in the church parlor and combines mission work with a supportive fellowship. Their focus is service including College Care and Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home. They chair the Lenten Breakfast. Next meeting: We will be meeting on Tuesday, April 14th at 11am in The Vine. This is a planning meeting for our Bingo Night which will be Tuesday, April 28th from 6:30-8pm. Please also bring donations for the Come to Me Food Pantry that the Lydia Circle will deliver at their meeting. We will NOT be having our usual meeting in May but you are strongly encouraged to help on Wednesday, May 13th starting at 9am with the cleaning/organizing of the main kitchen and sanctuary. After that we will be off for the summer until Aug or Sept.
Updates: The Lenten Breakfast was very well attended. Jodie Little did a wonderful job! In March we stuffed 50 Easter bags for the kids at the Indiana Children's Home in Lebanon.
Lydia Circle
This circle meets the 4th Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm in the church library, They focus on hosting the "Steppin' Up to Help" line dancing fundraisers, volunteering at the Fishers Food Pantry, working at Teter Retreat & Organic Farm, making cards for the Caring Connections, hosting a meal for Dinners on Us and ringing the bell for Salvation Army at Christmas time, as well as other activities. Next meeting: We will be meeting on Tuesday, April 21st at the Come to Me Food Pantry at Fishers UMC to take donations from all the UWF Circles here at NFUMC and to work. After the working we will gather at Chicken Salad Chick for food & fellowship. Our retreat to South Haven, MI is the weekend of May 4 & 5 and we will visit the Meijer Gardens. We strongly encourage all that are able to help on May 13th at 9am for the UWF workday, cleaning/organizing of the main kitchen and sanctuary. June 25th & 26th we will be helping out at Teter Organic Farms as part of SERVE Noblesville.
Updates: The Steppin' Up to Help Fundraiser for Cherish raised over $1,900.00! Thank you!! Unfortunately our March trip to Lucille Raines was canceled due to a broken boiler. We hope to reschedule.
Priscilla Circle
This circle meets the 3rd Monday of the month at 6:30pm in the church parlor and focuses on the Bags, Baskets and Blessings event each November. They sort, pack and deliver supplies for babies to organizations in Hamilton County that serve families in need. Luncheons and field trips provide additional opportunities for fellowship. Our speaker is Karen Hickner regarding the Come to Me Food Pantry mission. We strongly encourage all that are able to help on May 13th at 9am for the UWF workday, cleaning/organizing of the main kitchen and sanctuary. May 18th will be a pitch-in. Then we will take the months of June & July off, for our regular meetings- work on the BBB will begin in May.
Updates: The BBB donation tree will be available in the narthex beginning May 1st. Donations of purses are welcome as well. Mark your calendars for the BBB- Friday, November 6th
Rebekah Circle
This circle meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 9:30am in the church parlor and focuses on Christian fellowship, service and learning. Field trips to faith related attractions and service events such as the Rummage Sale and the Christmas Tea are highlights of the year. Next meeting: We will be meeting on Wednesday, April 15th at 9:30am in The Vine. Phyllis Hunter will be presenting the program from the UWF resource book. Please also bring donations for the Come to Me Food Pantry that Lydia Circle will deliver at their meeting. We strongly encourage all that are able to help on May 13th at 9am for the UWF workday, cleaning/organizing of the main kitchen and sanctuary. May 20th our organist Al Lucas will be delivering our program on the new organ. We will then take the months of June, July & August off for the summer.
Updates: A few of our members are organizing the "Fill the Truck" for Mountain Missions. Donations will be accepted May 13 10-4, May 14 10-7 with the truck arriving May 15th.
