Dear Noblesville First Family,

When I traveled to Paris this month, I had it all figured out. Every hour—every minute—was planned. Outfits? Coordinated. Tickets? Printed and digital. Backups of the backups.

Then it happened. I booked travel from our hotel to our first tour meet-up spot—except, I hadn’t read all the fine print. We showed up at the location for the end of the tour instead of the beginning. Panic set in fast. Every major landmark I’d dreamed of seeing was about to slip through my fingers.

Meanwhile, Jevon looked at me—calm, unbothered—and simply said, “It’ll all work out.” I wasn’t sure whether to laugh or cry. But after some scrambling and a few calls, we managed to rebook for another day. I didn’t realize it then, but God had just saved us from a nine-hour walking tour… in a torrential downpour. The skies opened that day, and Paris was drenched. When we finally took the tour days later, the sun was shining, the air was crisp, and the city sparkled.

My perfect plan had fallen apart, but God’s plan? It was so much better.

Maybe your own itinerary has shifted lately—dreams delayed, goals detoured, expectations undone. But here’s the truth: God’s plans are always better than ours. God’s timing, direction, and purpose—they outshine even our best laid plans.

This weekend, we’ll take our “passports” to Damascus and see how the presence of Jesus changes our plans to His purpose. Saul and Ananias had their own detailed plans—until one encounter on the road completely rerouted their lives.

I hope you’ll join us—and trust that even when itineraries change, God is planning something far more beautiful. The only question is: Will you trust Jesus with the journey?

Keep the Faith@First,
Pastor Nicole
