You have probably heard the words “love never fails” in a sermon, a Bible study, or even in wedding vows. Last week, I did not just hear those words—I saw them.

I traveled to Florida with Katy Rogers, Director of our ministry at Teter Farm, to gather with some of our “snowbirds” for fellowship and to share what God is doing through our shared work. Some drove two hours just to be there. They rearranged schedules and gathered to listen, to encourage, and to support the ministry. That is what love does. It sacrifices. It gives. It shows up.

What I witnessed in Florida is the same love I see in our congregation year after year. When our community faces need, you respond. When ministry calls, you give. Not reluctantly, but faithfully and generously. This congregation has consistently met the moment because you understand that our giving is more than financial—it is spiritual. It is an act of love.

We love this way because Jesus first loved us. He gave sacrificially—offering his time, his compassion, his very life—so that we might know love. When we pledge to the ministries of the church, we are choosing to participate in that same self-giving love. Your pledge becomes food shared, hope spoken, children discipled, neighbors welcomed, and lives changed.

As we continue in a new year of ministry, I invite you to make your pledge online, or turn in your pledge card this Sunday. Together, we will continue to show our community that love—God’s love—never fails.

Keep the Faith@First and I'll see you Sunday.
Pastor Nicole
