Faith @ First - August 21, 2026
Sometimes faith feels a little like a game of Clue.
We’re always looking for the signs. Watching for the nudges. Trying to put the pieces together and figure out: Where is God in this? Where is God moving? What is God doing that I might be missing?
And this week, the clues have been everywhere and I can tell you with certainty that God is at work through the people of Noblesville First.
Our church is coordinating our United Methodist Flood Relief Fund, pooling resources from churches and individuals so that we can help meet immediate needs and provide gap funding as families begin the long road toward recovery.
We are working with our partners to provide weekly meals to families in the Riverwood community (see picture above), creating not only a place to receive a hot meal, but also a place for neighbors to gather, connect, and know that their community has not forgotten them.
And now there is an opportunity to put our faith to work with our own hands.
This Monday, August 24th from 12–5 PM, volunteers are invited to join our mission partner, SERVE Village, who will dispatch teams into flood-affected areas where hands-on help is needed. Come ready to work. Come ready to serve. Come ready to remind somebody that they do not have to recover alone.
And to every person who has already given, volunteered, prayed, cooked, shared information, offered resources, or simply asked, “How can I help?”—thank you.
The clues are all around us. God is at work. And church, we get to be part of it.
