Change the world.
Hamilton County believes in ending hunger. In 2020, we will continue to fight against the challenges of disease and disaster that leave people hungry. Join with us in raising funds to help neighbors near and far get the meals they need this year.
For the safety of participants and volunteers during the pandemic, we will have a virtual walk this year. The date is Sunday, October 4 but you can walk anytime! Be flexible and have fun. “Spirit” walking is also encouraged, for those that want to raise money for the walk, but are physically unable to walk or just do not have time.
CROP Hunger Walks are community-based walk events held in cities and towns across the United States raising funds to support the global mission of Church World Service, a faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster. Twenty five percent of the funds raised are returned to the host community to support local hunger fighting efforts.
The 2020 Walk will benefit local organizations. Nancy Chance, the honorary chairperson and director of Good Samaritan Network based in Hamilton County, will determine the Hamilton County organizations most in need for donations. Also, as always, funds will provide for others in need globally.
Together, we can help end hunger in our community and around the world.
