The Sunshine Sundays ministry is currently on hold but will resume soon!
Sunshine Sundays is a weekly ministry offered each Sunday for individuals with mental and/or physical disabilities.
The focus of Sunshine Sundays is based on 1st Corinthians 12:12-27 and 2nd Corinthians 12:9-10 that declares those with disabilities need to be nurtured in faith to the point where they can use the gifts God has given them to bless others.
Sunshine Sundays is open to individuals of all ages. We will partner with families in loving their family member with special needs and helping them all have the ability to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Sunshine Sundays will share the Good News in a way that each individual can know and understand, deepen each individuals relationship with God and understand what Jesus did on the cross for them, help them identify their spiritual gifts, and teach them how to pray and worship God.
Sunshine Sundays will use a curriculum adapted just for this special group. A typical Sunday will begin with a social/recreational time. Next there will be a circle time to introduce a Bible verse, followed by video lesson with Ollie the Owl, an activity and a snack. The class with conclude with music time.
If it's your first time, stop by the welcome desks inside Door 1, 2 or 7 and someone can escort you to the Sunshine Sundays room.
