Wait listed - waiting on God

Waitlisted: Waiting on God
3-week series on Doubts & Questions

You know that feeling you get when someone makes you a big promise? You probably feel excited, but you might feel a little skeptical too — especially when that promise gets delayed . . . and delayed again . . . and again. If you have to wait long enough for something you were promised, you might start to wonder when you've waited long enough. Eventually, you might even give up hope. In this 3-week series, we'll meet a handful of people from Scripture who each spent a long time waiting on God. From the stories of Paul and Silas, King David, and Joseph, we'll discover that God has a plan, but we might have to wait for it, and we'll be reminded that, while we're waiting, God is faithful, God is listening, and we should never give up because God’s not giving up on us.

Tip of the month
Teenagers might be facing some major disappointments for the first time in their lives — and they need you to help guide them through it. Here's how: 1) Let them feel it. 2) Offer perspective. 3) Share your stories of disappointment. 4) Assure them they'll be okay.

Resource of the month
“Behind every fear, there is a miracle waiting.” — Marianne Williamson

In case you or your teenager needs this encouragement right now, here's a reminder: if you're waiting on God for something right now, remember God's not giving up on you. In fact, your waiting might just be the prelude to a miracle.
