Outdoor worship will begin in the spring. Check back for details!
Outdoor worship at Teter Retreat & Farm is one of our favorite things about summer. Teter Retreat & Farm is located at 10980 221st Street, Noblesville, just north and east of downtown Noblesville approximately five miles. You will enter this long drive to the worship area which is located at the back of the property.
We use the parking closest to the worship area for persons with limited mobility. For Covid careful safety, we have placed the benches six feet apart in every direction. They have been power washed but are often damp in the mornings. Bring a towel or blanket to keep your clothes dry or bring a lawn chair.
We encourage mask wearing throughout the service for the safety of others but if you must remove your mask, please wait until everyone in the congregation is safely in place before you do. As you enter and exit the worship area, please remember to keep a safe social distance from others. We’re accustomed to greeting each other with handshakes, hugs, and conversation, but for now please wave and greet each other from a distance.
We have tried to provide as many options as possible so you can choose the safest way for you or your family to worship. If you want to worship from the safety of your car, park in the FM Broadcast area and tune your car radio to the FM frequency we will was share on Sunday morning. Remember this is a limited FM signal and will only work if you are physically located out here at Teter.
You will notice we have an 18 foot preacher and singer "splash zone" in front of the stage. We are asking you to not sing during the congregational songs. Hum, clap or raise your hands in praise while our music leaders lift our spirits in song. But please don’t sing!
We will be holding two worship experiences. The 8:15 service will resemble the traditional Teter Outdoor Worship typically held from Memorial Day to Labor Day each summer. The 10:00 worship experience will be a blended approach aimed to engage families with children. Expect it to last about 50 minutes. One of our songs will be a Traditional hymn and two of our songs will be led by our 11:00 Praise band. We will have a Children’s message and will experiment with engaging the children through some sign language and actions like they experience at Vacation Bible School. We will have a take home activity bag for each of the children.
In order to limit exposure, we will not be distributing bulletins or hymnals. Offering boxes will be placed for you to drop your offering on the way out in two locations, one accessible to drivers and another near the exit of the worship space.
Please remember all of this is dependent on the weather. If weather is threatening, we will cancel the outdoor worship and rely on online worship. In case of cancellation we will communicate via push notifications to our church app users, Facebook, Twitter, and at NoblesvilleFirst.com by 7am!
