Lunchtime Chat with Friends
Host: Carol Miller - cmiller@noblesvillefirst.com
Frequency: Monthly (times will vary)
Let’s spend time together over good food, numerous topics, and new friends. The group meets once a month in someone’s home, a restaurant, or place of hostess’ choice for a time together of fellowship and laughter. The group includes eight regular members plus two “new” friends of hostess’ choice. Each month will have a different focus for conversations: study, craft, a guest presenter from an organization, art demonstration, garden tips, or any topic of interest chosen by the hostess. Plan to be part of the first eight members!
Sharing is Caring
Host: Susie Long - skl5249@yahoo.com
Meeting times will be flexible, as will attendance.
When you ask someone, “How are you?” most people give an automatic response of “I’m fine” with a faint smile & move on. But many times that person has something heavy weighing on his/her heart. This group is a place to share that you are “not okay” & that it’s okay to feel whatever/however you are feeling. Life is hard & messy at times. This group is a place to share, listen and show care for each person in the group. The group is based on your personal needs & how often you want to share your concerns and show your caring heart to others.
Book Study
Hosts: Charlene & Paul Ernst - char@pernst.net
Frequency: Monthly or every other month
The group will decide on the location, possibly at the church, breakfast or brunch at restaurants, or occasional meetings in members’ homes. Each member, on a rotating basis, will select a book for the group—fiction or non-fiction, faith-based, educational, or historical. Anything that may lead to personal growth. Meetings will revolve around a discussion of the book and how it may lead to growth in faith or personal growth. Before the end of the meeting, the person next in the rotation will reveal their book selection and the next meeting date, time and place will be agreed upon.
Women’s Bible Study
Host: Mary Burns - dburns7204@aol.com
Frequency: Weekly
Thursday mornings 10-11:30 AM at Mary’s home, 116 Bayley Circle, Noblesville. Join Mary at her home for a ladies’ study “Love More with Beth.” Mary hopes to have 10-12 ladies and begin on February 2.
Unpack and Rethink
Host: Bonnie Zickgraf - bzickgraf@noblesvillefirst.com
Frequency: Weekly
Thursdays at 7 PM at the church in The Vine (Door 5). "Unpack and Rethink" is an open discussion group for those who hope to reach a fuller understanding of God's Word. We will look at Scripture through written, audio and video resources before engaging in brief discussions in order to gain new perspectives and arrive at Biblical truth. A new and different topic will be examined each week, so anyone can attend at any time and not feel out of the loop. This is a safe, all-inclusive, and non-judgmental environment!
Monthly Life Group
Host: Jane Meats - jemeats@comcast.net
Frequency: Monthly
Open for ideas and discussion!
Appetizers for Body and Soul
Hosts: Mary Eileen & Don Spence - mspence@noblesvillefirst.com
Frequency: Monthly
Fourth Tuesday of the month, 6:30-8 PM in the church parlor. An evening group which would be centered around gathering for appetizers and fellowship. Our thought is to let the group self-direct what they would like to talk about faith-wise, as well as how often they would like to meet. All of us would be asked to provide an appetizer. The first discussion may simply be designed around the sermon for whatever week we begin.
