Dear Noblesville First Family,
As we prepare for a weekend full of Easter activities, I have a simple question for you: who is your one? When the disciples learned of Jesus‘s resurrection, they could keep NOT to themselves. Their joy was contagious and it had to be spread around the city, the community and eventually the world! 2000 years later, that same “Jesus Joy” is one that we are called to share with others. And this weekend there are so many different ways that you can do that:
Tonight at 7pm in the sanctuary we have the Good Friday Tenebrae service. This is especially meaningful for those who may need a space to commune with God that acknowledges the pain and challenge that life can bring. In this service of scripture readings and hymns, we don’t skip over the pain of the crucifixion but abide with Jesus in that hard place with hope.
Saturday morning from 10:30-12, Noblesville First's family ministry will host the Easter Egg-stravaganza at the church (and not Teter Retreat & Farm where conditions are too soggy). There will be egg hunts, games, crafts, inflatables and most of all ... FUN! Bring your family and invite another to take part in this annual gathering of our church and community.
On Sunday morning we will have Easter worship at 8:30 and 9:45 in Celebration Hall (Doors 2, 3, 6, 7). With a sixteen piece orchestra, full choir and the fragrance of lilies wafting over the room, we will worship our resurrected Savior together with JOY! I cannot wait to share the message God has laid on my heart and to greet all the guests you have invited to share in our worship.
I know it’s going to be a life changing weekend for our church as we claim the victory Jesus gives us over death through his eternal life.
May you feel this joy and bring someone along with you to feel it too!
Keep the Faith@First,
Pastor Nicole
