Pre-pandemic, we would launch this Student Ministries fundraiser with a display board at the church. The board would contain 200 envelopes (hence the name), each one decorated by one of our students and displaying a number from 1 to 200. People wishing to donate would grab an envelope or multiple envelopes and donate the dollar amount of the number displayed the envelope. For example … envelope #1 would equate to a $1 donation … #100 would be a $100 donation … #200 would be a $200 donation.
In 2020, we were planning to host four mission trips to Give Kids the World Village (GKTW) in Kissimmee, FL. We also had a few students planning to attend the Fall Break mission trip to Guatemala. Unfortunately, all five of those trips got canceled. It's extremely unlikely that we'll be able to go to GKTW in the spring of 2021, but we're hopeful that a Fall Break trip (or two) can happen!
This year's 200 Envelopes Fundraiser will still benefit youth missions, but it may also be used for things outside of youth missions. This could include upgrades to The Vine (our student ministry space on the west end of the church building), a donation to GKTW, or scholarships awarded in another form. We've got a lot of options, but one thing is clear - your support is needed!
In an effort to reduce foot traffic in the church building, we’ve created an online form where you can choose an "envelope" … or multiple envelopes 😉 … and make the donation online by credit card or drop off cash or a check in the church office.
Thank you so much for your support of our Student Ministries! We appreciate your partnership in the critical work we do.
