Dinner's On Us is hosted weekly on Thursdays from 5-6PM at Door 6 at the west end of the church. In addition to a delicious meal, attendees can pick up frozen Chik-Fil-A, organic produce and eggs from Teter Farm, Panera breads, grocery items and frequent surprises.
Everyone in the congregation and community is invited for this FREE dinner and fellowship!
We are also sharing the bounty of frozen Chick-Fil-A with the lunch program at Sheridan Methodist Church and other food pantries. Additionally, we have arranged for Second Helpings to deliver 30 lunches to the senior apartments at Noble Manor apartments next door each Thursday.
Want to make a donation?
We stock the weekly food cart from the generous donations that the congregation provides. Donations can be dropped in the baskets outside the Sanctuary and Celebration Hall. Items needed include:
- cereal
- mac and cheese
- pasta
- pasta sauce
- meal kits like Hamburger Helper
- peanut butter and jelly
- gallon storage bags
With over 27,000 food insecure people in Hamilton County, Dinner's On Us is a program that offers us each an opportunity to follow Jesus’s command to “feed my sheep.” Noblesville First has been involved in serving this free weekly community dinner for over 10 years, typically welcoming 30-40 people each week. Some of the guests are retired, on fixed incomes, and appreciate the chance to visit with others. Some single parents appreciate the weekly meal they don’t have to pay for. Some guests just like to have a night off from cooking and enjoy the fellowship. Our church looks forward to starting this in-person dinner again when safe conditions can be assured.
Want to volunteer?
Four to five volunteers are needed each week to help set up, serve, and clean up, typically from 4:30 to 6:30. In addition, volunteers are needed to pick up the Chick-Fil-A donation on Mondays or Wednesdays between 8:30 and 9:30AM.
