Beginning the week of August 20 through the entire month of September, Noblesville First will embark on a six-week journey of discipleship. Following the Committed to Christ program developed by Bob Crossman, we will be encouraging our entire congregation to explore the six steps that lead to a growing vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ.
Through Sunday morning worship and individual or group study, we will examine six elements to this spiritual journey which include:
- Prayer
- Bible Study
- Regular worship
- Appropriate faith sharing
- Giving
- And hands-on service
Most small group, Bible Study and Growth Groups will be utilizing the Committed to Christ study book which we find to be easy-to-read but offers valuable insights for both the beginning and life-long follower of Christ.
We're excited about having the entire congregation studying the same resources together and celebrating the spiritual growth that takes place when we become intentional in our efforts to grow in Christ.
If you are not part of a group, you will find the easy-to-follow book excellent for your individual study. We will also offer some six-week groups for this endeavor. If you would like to be a part of one of these short-term groups contact Pastor Aaron Hobbs ahobbs@noblesvillefirst.com or call the church office at 317-773-2500.
Beginning with worship on August 26, our theme for each Sunday’s worship will follow the topic we have studied that week. A commitment card will be shared at the end of each worship which offers several response options for wherever you may be in your faith journey. The study book is in the hands of most of our group leaders so you are invited to ask them about the study.
We will be taking book orders after church on Sunday, August 5 & 12 or you can put in your order now by calling the church office at 317-773-2500 or emailing Jenell Hadley at jhadley@noblesvillefirst.com. May God richly bless you and our congregation as we seek to become more committed to Christ.
Your servant in Christ,
Rev. Jerry Rairdon
