9:00 am - 12:00 pm
On Saturday, March 2, Noblesville First's Social Justice and Advocacy Team will host a three-hour Bridges Out of Poverty workshop from 9am to Noon. The workshop is based on Dr. Ruby Payne’s research and work in the field of poverty. The instructor for the day is Dave Sever, Ph.D., from the Bridges Alliance of Johnson County. The workshop will cover topics including situational vs. generational poverty, the language of poverty, different outlooks concerning money and spending, and the hidden rules in our society based on class.
A number of people from our congregation have taken this workshop elsewhere and speak of the powerful message and impact it had on them.
The cost of the workshop is $15 to cover the cost of the workbook and morning coffee and snacks. Sign up and pay in the church office by February 17 or click here for online registration and payment. And please share this information with others who you think would be interested in attending this event.
